Two presentations to the scientific community

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2024, took place in Vienna and online from the 15th until the 19th of April 2024. It was a very huge Geoscience conference with more than 20,000 registered attendees from 109 countries giving almost 19,000 presentations in over 1,000 sessions. Dr. Clara Hohmann from Koblenz University of Applied Sciences presented the topic “Exploring vulnerability to flash floods in a water-scarce MENA city: Challenges and possible solutions” (Link to EGU Abstract: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/EGU24-11733.html). Ahmad Awad from the Institute of Social-Ecological Research (ISOE) gave a PICO presentation on “Understanding urbanization's impact on flash flood risks from past to future: A Case study of a rapidly growing MENA city” (Link to EGU Abstract: https://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU24/EGU24-7592.html). Both presentations were joint works of Jordanian and German partners and received high interest and positive feedbacks from the audience.
