The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the United Nations are a collection of 17 interlinked objectives designed to serve as a “shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future”. All projects in the funding scheme CLIENT II “International Partnerships for Sustainable Innovations” are contributing to these SDGs. The CapTain Rain project is pioneering innovative solutions to support climate change adaptation and the achievement of SDG 13 "Climate Action" in Jordan. By developing solutions to utilise rainwater in this arid region, the project also promotes integrated water management and sustainable urban development under SDGs 6 "Clean Water and Sanitation" and 11 "Sustainable Cities and Communities".
