CapTain Rain meets the mayor of Amman

The Greater Amman Municipality confirmed its cooperation interest
The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has confirmed its cooperation interest to investigate flash flood risks within the Jordanian-German research project CapTain Rain. Further details were discussed in a meeting between the mayor of Amman, his Excellency Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, GAM staff members, the CapTain Rain project head Dr. habil Katja Brinkmann and the Jordanian CapTain Rain coordinator Prof. Dr. Mohamed Matouq. The partners from Jordan and Germany are looking forward into continued research activities focusing on Amman City to achieve better flash flood management and are grateful for the support from GAM.
