6th ISFF 2021

Members of the CapTain Rain project participated in the 6th International Symposium on Flash Floods in Wadi Systems in Amman, Jordan. The 6th ISFF 2021 was a great opportunity  for scientific networking and to exchange experiences and share knowledge on integrated management of Wadi flash floods in arid regions. The symposium was one of a series of the annual International Symposium on Flash Floods in Wadi Systems. This time it was organized by the Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM), Petra Development & Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and Kyoto University.

Marianne Brum (KISTERS AG) presented a poster on "real-time decision support for wadi systems - how similarities with the sponge city concept may inspire technological innovation". Katja Brinkmann (ISOE) held an oral presentation on the "Integrated vulnerability analysis for flash flood risk management in Jordan".
